ASUS unveils Onimusha edition of the TUF Radeon RX 9070 XT
Redactie · October 28, 2026

ASUS is releasing a special edition of the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT for Onimusha fans. The card features a blue-and-gold finish and comes bundled with Onimusha: Way of the Sword. It is a limited edition, but ASUS has not yet announced production numbers, European pricing or a firm release date.
Onimusha styling on the shroud and backplate
The custom design extends to both the cooler shroud and the backplate. ASUS bases the colors and details on the Oni Gauntlet from Onimusha: Way of the Sword. This makes the edition stand out primarily as a collectible for fans of the series or as part of a PC with a matching color scheme.
A copy of the game is included. Details on how it will be delivered or any activation requirements have not been announced. ASUS also has not specified how many cards will be available worldwide or in Europe.
RX 9070 XT with 16GB GDDR6
Beneath the custom exterior is a Radeon RX 9070 XT based on AMD's RDNA 4 architecture. The card features 16GB of GDDR6 memory, a 256bit memory bus and PCI Express 5.0 support. AMD FSR is also supported. ASUS has not published benchmarks that would allow you to compare this edition's performance with other RX 9070 XT cards.
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, RDNA 4.
- Memory: 16GB GDDR6 on a 256bit bus.
- Clock speeds: ASUS lists up to 3,080MHz in OC Mode and 2,540MHz in Game mode.
- Interface: PCI Express 5.0.
- Cooling: three Axial-tech fans and a phase-change thermal pad.
- Thickness: 3.125 slots.
- Bundle: Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
Large cooler and reinforced construction
The cooler combines three fans with a large heatsink fin array and a vented metal structure. Between the GPU and the cooler, ASUS uses a phase-change thermal pad: a thermal interface material that changes state as it heats up. The fans feature dual ball bearings.
ASUS also highlights GPU Guard, which uses adhesive at all four corners for added reinforcement, and a bracket designed to distribute mounting pressure evenly. A protective coating on the circuit board is intended to reduce the risk of short circuits caused by moisture, dust and other factors. Without measurements, it is not yet possible to judge how quiet or cool this edition actually runs.
What does this mean for you?
This edition is mainly worth considering if you are already looking at an RX 9070 XT and are an Onimusha fan. There is no evidence yet of a performance advantage over other versions of the same GPU. Any price premium should therefore be weighed primarily against how much you value the design and the bundled game.
For PC builders, the thickness is already worth noting: at 3.125 slots, the card takes up a substantial amount of space. Before buying, also check the full dimensions and power supply requirements, as these are not included in this announcement. Without pricing and independent testing, it is too early to judge its value for money.
