Synology has announced the availability of the 2-bay DiskStation DS223, the latest addition to its lineup of essential storage servers dedicated to home and SOHO use.
It offers a maximum of 36TB of storage, has a quadcore CPU and 2GB of RAM memory. Pricing starts at 290 euro.
The DS223, powered by the advanced Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system, offers a comprehensive set of data management solutions for home users. As the volume of data we create continues to soar, the DS223 is designed to help users manage their data in a centralized and smart way.
Private Cloud for Effortless Data Organization and Sharing The DS223 enables users to bring together their data from multiple sources and store it on their own private cloud, making it accessible and manageable from any device. With up to 36 TB of raw storage space, the DS223 provides ample room for all your documents, media files, and other important data.
The DS223 also includes Synology Photos, a multimedia file management tool that organizes your files automatically and supports secure sharing with family and friends. Plus, it supports RAW file formats for professional creative work. With the option to integrate the DS223 with popular cloud storage services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and Microsoft OneDrive, users can synchronize their data across devices for centralized data ownership.
Reliable Backup Hub for Data Protection The DS223 acts as a backup destination for real-time or scheduled backups of computer folders, protecting them from ransomware or accidental deletion. With mobile device support, users can also configure Synology Photos to automatically upload photos and videos to their private cloud for continuous protection.
Thanks to the Btrfs file system, data stored on the server is secure and can be restored to a previous version in case of accidental or malicious changes.
