Review: VXE R1 Pro Max
Maurice De Pauw · November 7, 2025

Introduction
Today we're reviewing the VXE R1 Pro Max. Available on AliExpress for just €40, we thought we'd give it a try. It's a wireless gaming mouse with a sleek design and plenty of great features. I have fairly large hands and enjoy long gaming sessions, so I was curious to see how comfortable it would be and how long its battery would last. In this review, I'll explain what I liked, what could be better, and whether I'd recommend it.

First, here are the key specifications:
- Sensor: PixArt PAW3395
- Max DPI: 26,000
- Polling rate: 125 to 4000 Hz (with an additional dongle)

First impressions
The first time I picked up the mouse, my immediate thought was how comfortable it felt. Despite being lightweight, it feels sturdy and well built. I have fairly large hands, but that wasn't a problem with this mouse. It's very compact and feels good in use. The clicks sound great: not too loud, but with exactly the satisfying click you want while gaming.
Everyday use and gaming experience
What I particularly like about the VXE R1 Pro Max is its battery life. It's genuinely excellent: I hardly ever need to charge it, which is incredibly convenient during long gaming sessions. The mouse also fits my hand perfectly and is very light, helping me aim better and game comfortably for longer. The clicks feel satisfying, neither too stiff nor too light, which makes it a pleasure to use while playing. I also like the VXE R1 Pro Max's clean, compact design. It's entirely black with a sleek look, something I always appreciate in a gaming setup.
One thing I didn't enjoy initially was pressing the side buttons. They're fairly small and remind me a little of those on the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. My previous mouse was the Razer V3 Hyperspeed, which had larger side buttons, so the difference took some getting used to. Fortunately, after a few weeks that was no longer an issue, and I now use them without any trouble. Another minor downside is that my hands get sweaty quite quickly while gaming, so fingerprints and smudges soon become visible on the mouse. It's not a major problem, but it can look a little untidy.

Conclusion:
The VXE R1 Pro Max is a pleasure to use, especially if you're looking for a compact wireless mouse with a comfortable shape. Battery life is excellent, the clicks feel good, and build quality is very solid. The side buttons and sweat marks are minor drawbacks, but neither is enough to stop me recommending it. Its strengths far outweigh its weaknesses.
If you're looking for a lightweight wireless mouse with long battery life and a comfortable fit, the VXE R1 Pro Max is definitely worth considering.
Verdict
