Specifications

The EUFY E22 comes with IP65 and IP67 ratings, so you can install the lighting outdoors with peace of mind. The lighting also works with EUFY cameras. For example, you can set the lights to turn on when someone is at your front door. Other features worth mentioning include:

First impressions

As we've come to expect from EUFY (see also our review of the solar-powered EUFY security camera), everything is well packaged, and most practical details have been thought through. You can mount the lighting using adhesive pads, screws or wall plugs when attaching it to a wall. That's a big plus, as it gives you a choice. The extension cable is another welcome addition to the package. It gives you a little extra reach and helps prevent the cable from falling short of your power outlet. The lights don't seem to be spaced too closely together either, although we'll see how that works out later in our review.

Installing the EUFY e22

The various mounting options give you the freedom to install the lighting wherever you like. In our case, we chose to attach the lights to our fence and part of our covered patio. As mentioned earlier, the handy accessories offer several ways to mount the lights. We opted to screw everything into place, as we don't think adhesive pads would stick particularly well to wood.

Features and options

The handy EUFY app makes pairing the lighting easy. It also works with other EUFY products, giving you a central overview and control over each device. There are several preset lighting scenes to choose from. Having a party? Pick a party scene, and so on. You can also use the app to adjust brightness and colour combinations, as well as access the AI features. We weren't quite sure what to expect from the AI function. Having played around with it a little, we can say it's quite fun, although we're not yet sure how often we'll use it. The AI function lets you enter your lighting preferences and generate different lighting themes tailored to your needs, whether for parties, moods or special occasions.

You can also connect the EUFY E22 to Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free control of your lighting.
