Hator Phoenix 2 Wireless headset – Balanced performance in a functional design
Today we take a closer look at the Hator Phoenix 2 Wireless. The yellow box certainly stands out! The Hator Phoenix 2 Wireless positions itself as a wireless headset focused on balancing comfort, build quality and sound reproduction. When unboxing it, the “understated” yet polished design immediately catches the eye. The included carrying case is a nice addition for anyone who wants to take their headset on the go. The construction feels sturdy, combining matte plastic with metal elements. Hator has clearly opted for a functional approach here: no excessive lighting or flashy visual details, but a professional-looking product suited to both gaming and everyday use.
The box highlights several features, including Hybrid ANC, RGB, SyncHUB and Hi-Res Audio.

The Phoenix 2 supports several connection methods:
2.4GHz wireless
Bluetooth
USB-C wired
This makes the headset suitable for use across multiple platforms, including PC, consoles and mobile devices. The wireless connection is stable, with no noticeable latency or interference. The headband is reinforced with a metal core and features soft padding. The ear cushions are filled with memory foam and covered in synthetic leather, providing a comfortable fit during extended use. Pressure is evenly distributed, so the headset remains comfortable even during longer sessions.
The controls are located on the left ear cup and include physical buttons for volume, mute and power. The detachable microphone is flexible and sturdy, with a secure mounting point.
Visually, the Phoenix 2 remains understated. The design focuses on ease of use and ergonomics without excessive styling. While its appearance is fairly simple, the RGB lighting adds a little atmosphere.

Hands-on experience – Sound quality, microphone and comfort
This headset features 40 mm audio drivers that support a wide frequency range, from deep bass to clear highs. Overall, the sound quality is convincing. The bass is present but controlled, the midrange sounds clear and the high frequencies remain crisp without distortion. This is all made possible by LDAC certification and the 40mm Hi-Res drivers.
Throughout my testing, from action games and shooters to music and voice applications, the sound balance remained consistent. In-game audio is accurate and convincing, making the headset suitable for competitive play. Thanks to 3D spatial audio and “head tracking”, you get a noticeably better sense of your surroundings. This is particularly apparent in games, helping you hear where someone is walking or where something is happening.
Microphone & battery
The microphone performs above average for this price range. Voices come through clearly and naturally, without noticeable compression or background noise. Audio quality remains consistent in both wireless and wired modes.
Battery life is around 30 hours (according to Hator, this can reach 40 hours depending on usage and settings) and varies with use. When the headset is running low, you can recharge it via USB-C, which takes approximately 4 hours. The wireless connection is also more than adequate for typical everyday use.

Software & Features
HATOR uses a mobile app called SyncHUB, available for both Android and iOS devices. Setup and operation are straightforward: after pairing the headset via Bluetooth, you can find the device in the app at the touch of a button. Once the headset is recognised, you can get started right away. The app offers a limited set of features and does exactly what it needs to. Hator has told us that PC software will be available this year (2025).
Ear cushions
This headset lets you replace the ear cushions. Their interchangeable design is a benefit, as you can easily replace them when they wear out. We received an extra set: the Microfiber+Cooling gel version. Personally, I find these slightly better. They fit well, feel comfortable and, above all, are less likely to make your ears sweaty.
ANC & Microphone
The Phoenix 2 features ANC (Active Noise Cancelling). In the Hator Phoenix 2 Wireless , this takes the form of a hybrid ANC system with four microphones and a dedicated ANC processor. Want to know how to enable or disable ANC on your headset? I recommend checking Hator's mobile app or consulting the manual. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) uses microphones to pick up ambient noise, then generates an opposing audio signal to cancel it out. The 4-mic Hybrid ANC works alongside ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) to deliver clear speech during calls.
Phone calls
The Hator Phoenix 2 Wireless headset also lets you make phone calls via Bluetooth. A welcome bonus!
Conclusion – Efficient, dependable and well balanced
The Hator Phoenix 2 Wireless stands out not for extravagant features, but for its build quality, wearing comfort and clear, controlled sound reproduction. The Phoenix 2 wireless headset is available in White, Black and Violet.
This headset is particularly well suited to users who value stability, comfort and a neutral sound profile, without needing extensive software settings or visual extras. Within its price range, the Phoenix 2 offers a solid overall package that will appeal to both gamers and hybrid workers.
The Hator Phoenix 2 Wireless headset is priced at EUR 99 (2025).
